It's a great feeling to help someone who otherwise might not be able to help themselves and it's not much time or effort on my part. When my mother was ill and alone in the UK, Meals on Wheels was very important to the family. I now volunteer in memory of the Meals on Wheels service that helped my mother. Hopefully, one day, someone will be there when I need the service myself. I have met and become good friends with so many wonderful, caring people (staff included) that my life wouldn't be the same without them.
