Edmonton Meals on Wheels becomes an independent not-for-profit organization. 51,000 meals are delivered in the first year of operation. |

Meals continue to be prepared from various hospital sites with a host of complaints from meal recipients. The frustration of having little quality control leads to the dream of having a Meals on Wheels kitchen facility. |
