Albert's Subsidizes 4300 Meals on Wheels Entrees with "Prices from the Past" Anniversary Promotion Alberta - July 9, 2002 - through its 43rd Anniversary promotion "Prices from the Past", Albert's Restaurants is hoping to provide subsidiary funding for approximately 4300 meals in Alberta through the Meals on Wheels program. Albert's is recognizing a need within its community. About 2/3 of the recipients of Meals on Wheels "hot meal" service are unable to pay the full price of meals |
and rely on the subsidies provided by
fundraising. By providing $100 per anniversary, or $4300.00, to Meals
on Wheels, Albert's will provide subsidized meals for more than 47
people for 1 month each.
"We have a tradition of giving others presents on our birthday. Like Albert's Family Playground at the Glenrose for our 40th birthday. Meals on Wheels performs a wonderful and valuable service for our community, and helping them helps those in need, in our community," says Mark Siderson, Executive Vice President of Albert's Restaurants. |
